  • This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and give thanks to those who gave their lives for our freedom.

  • Even miles apart, our team knows how to come together! Our Q2 virtual teambuilder was a reminder that great culture doesn’t need a shared office—just shared laughs, creativity, and connection. From Name That Tune to music trivia, friendly competition, and candid conversations, we made space to recharge and reconnect!

Ongoings

  • This past month we celebrated San Diego CEO’s that made an impact last year in the community. Our CEO, Y’vonne was recognized in the area of Small/Private Business for year over year growth, her leadership and community impact. A special recognition as well to two of her friends and fellow CEO nominees Stephanie San Antonio from SSA and Jamie Jacobs from GigTalent. We congratulate all the CEOs that made an impact this past year.
  • Our CEO Y’vonne was in NYC this past week meeting fellow founders and investors understanding the current state of capital for the purpose of growing 5P Consulting. If you didn’t know, women still only have access to 2% of Capital Funding in the industry. We thank the WBC for putting on a summit that facilitates relationships to the purpose of growing Women founded companies. She was able to spend time as well on business development activities with other WBE/WOSB organizations Prelude Solutions lead by CEO Cate Heaman and SaaSinct lead by Katie Bluth.
  • Last week, Randy attended the LA Best MedTech and Bioscience conference at UCLA, which brought together leading medical professionals working with technologies to drive innovation to improve and save lives. Here is his recap:

    • “Startups to established corporations were present to collaborate on innovation and showcase advancements and challenges, and it was amazing to see so many stories on new ways to improve capabilities for our aging population, chronic disease treatment, and dealing with the healthcare worker shortage.

    • Just like all industries are pushing the boundaries with AI, this industry is no exception. As an example, in a very short time, the adoption of leveraging generative AI for physician electronic scribing notes has improved the lives of doctors and patients dramatically. Doctors can focus on patient care rather than burdensome administrative tasks.

    • Clear concerns about AI in healthcare are valid, but that concern is mitigated by having humans-in-the-loop to ensure generated content is delivering as expected. As AI continues to mature, this is an area that will be addressed and streamlined further. Similar to how the healthcare industry overcame being a late adopter to migrate from on-premise systems to cloud technology due to regulations in support of data privacy, this will occur with AI to advance improvements rapidly.

    • Advancements will include full closed-loop solutions to leverage generated scribe notes by automating tasks such as patient referrals, improved treatment plans, and billing processes”.

Service and Product News

  • One of our Financial Services clients needed the consolidation of multiple Engagement Letters (EL) into a single standardized version, the creation of a dynamic form that would display text based on the SKUs associated with the opportunity, and an approval process to route the documents to the correct person for signature. To achieve this, our Solution Architect, David, used Conga for content control, optimized Salesforce workflows for the approval process, and introduced groups to ensure the right person received the document last for signature. This is just a small glimpse into how we were able to optimize our client’s Salesforce org for more automation and streamlined operations. Read the full case study here.
  • For one of our energy clients, our Senior Business Architect, Ed, led both the business architecture and project management on the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, which included key financial modules, including GL, AR, CM, PO, PPM, FA and AP to ensure the automation of workflows, compliance, and scalability. Read the full case study here.

“We have worked closely with the talented 5P team for over a year customizing and integrating our SalesForce platform. Prior to working with 5P, we had a very rudimentary set-up. 5P has been instrumental in streamlining our sales process, customizing revenue & profitability reports, integrating SalesForce with QuickBooks, Harvest, Monday, and our other software platforms. We are better optimized as an organization and make better decisions because we have a deeper insight into our data as a direct result of our work with 5P. Our company is growing and moving into an acquisition phase. The work we have done with 5P will allow us to seamlessly assimilate new teams and maximize ROI. I highly recommend and endorse their services.” - Media and Communications Company
